Action and interaction pt7 Animation examples

After looking at scuba diving  reference images, started to look at scuba diving/ water/ narration animations, to see how they tackle animating scuba diving, water, the air bubbles or narrated piece.

CGI Animated Shorts HD: “Taking the Plunge” – by Taking the Plunge Team

Looking at this animation was relevant because there is a large section where he is scuba diving.
It shows scenes of his perspective, inside of mask, hair animation, bubbles. Light waves, water waves at the top. The mask moving as if eye brows.

In conclusion: might include facial expression on physical items

CGI Animated Shorts HD: “Out of Bounds” – by The Animation Workshop

The water in the fishbowl looks  flat,  shine at the top as if drawn.
Him talking to himself, like a self-narration. They animate line diagrams.
obstacle: to get outside to get fish food.

CGI Animated Short Film HD: “Contre Temps” by the Contre Temps Team

pattern white layer over blue.

**Award-Winning** CGI 3D Animated Short: “CALDERA” – by Evan Viera

Blury, dark misty colours. Key items glowing, hair movement, particles.
In conclusion, might incorporate key items glowing.

High diving giraffes – Giraffen beim Turmspringen (animation)

Splash on surface. They introduce another giraffe to fling themselves at half way through.

Bernard The Funny Bear – Scuba Diving

Balls like air bubbles, just blue background, character wearing not water tight wet suit.
In conclusion: the characters don’t need to wear a complete outfit, just something that is easily recognisable as the outfit.

Balls as air bubbles.

3D UNDERWATER SCENE FISH ANIMATION CORAL

Looked at this to see hwo they tackeled a underwater scene.
GPU-based, Real-time Ocean Animation and Rendering

In conclusion before the actual modelling and animating, I need to figure out how to: do floating particles, mainly air bubbles, animate hair and if it doesn’t work quickly change idea.  someone suggested if I wear to animate hair I would need to do N cloth.
